Fresh & Local: Scottsdale's Farmer's Markets

Access to fresh, local food is a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle, and Scottsdale's farmer's markets provide this opportunity in May. These markets often serve as community hubs, offering more than just produce.  Plus you get outside and get a little bit of a walk in.

  • Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market: A long-standing market operating weekly on Saturdays. During May 2025, the market adjusts its hours, running from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon). Located at 3806 N. Brown Avenue in a public parking lot, it features over 100 local growers and specialty food producers. Offerings include a wide variety of organic and pesticide-free produce, seasonal specialties, natural meats (pork, beef, fish), free-range eggs, cheese, freshly baked artisan breads, jams, tamales, and more. The market is family-friendly and welcomes well-mannered pets. It accepts various payment assistance programs, including DUFB/SNAP, AZFMNP, and the Senior program. Free parking is available.

  • North Scottsdale Farmers Market & Artisan Craft Show (McDowell Mnt Ranch): This market takes place on the first Sunday of the month, which in May 2025 falls on Sunday, May 4th. Operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM MST. It is held in the parking lot of the McDowell Mountain Ranch Community Center at 10607 E Paradise Ln. This event is positioned as a "Family Fun market," featuring over 80 vendors, including three local farmers, artisan food producers (breads, pastries, sauces, salsa, meats, fish, honey, jams, yogurt, hummus), health and wellness vendors, and cold-pressed juices. Beyond food, it offers arts and crafts, kids' activities (including mini horseback rides), live music, and food trucks, making it a broader community gathering space. Attendance, parking, samples, and kids' activities are free, and the market is pet-friendly.
